Physical Therapy
Our goal is to provide you the best possible physical care in the South Brunswick and Highland Park communities. For this reason, Dr. Grossman expanded Grossman Chiropractic & Physical Therapy to include world-class physical therapy in 2016. We believe that when health care professionals work together, the patient can appreciate the best possible results for excellent health.
What Is Physical Therapy?
“Physical therapy is a branch of medicine where we work on musculoskeletal dysfunctions and neurological impairment—the issues that are inhibiting the patient from getting back to their normal life,” said our Doctor of Physical Therapy Gabriella Trepper.
Restoring Optimal Function
The art behind healing with physical therapy is based on rehabilitative science, which is why at our practice, we utilize whatever tools we need to help you regain function caused by an injury.
Working together to achieve optimal healing, physical therapy patients often experience ideal results when their care is combined with unique chiropractic adjustments. With multiple services in one location delivered by experts in their fields, we provide our patients with more treatment options and ensure the best quality service.
FAQ
What Does Physical Therapy Help?
At our practice, patients have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the doctor, an experienced in-house physical therapist that crafts custom treatment plans to address your specific needs and goals.
At your first physical therapy appointment, you’ll meet with your doctor for a full evaluation of your physical state and problem area followed by your first treatment. If you have had prior scans or imaging done of the area in question, we recommend bringing them with you.
Plan on spending about one hour of your day at our office for this visit. In your coming appointments that follow, the doctor will continue to work with you in 30-minute, one-on-one sessions until you both feel sufficient progress has been made. We suggest wearing loose-fit, athletic clothing and tennis shoes to your appointments.
How Long Will I Need Physical Therapy?
For chronic conditions lasting upwards of six months or postsurgical cases, a longer treatment plan may be required due to additional injuries and unfavorable learned habits developed by the body. Whatever the case, we’ll make sure that you’re working toward your health goals at each appointment along the way.
